Sinclair ZX Spectrum

Hard to believe the Speccy was introduced a quarter century ago! (and man, do I feel old! :-) Manic Miner, anyone? PEEK & POKE? LOAD ""? Tape Loading Error :-(
BASIC and Zilog Z80 assembly language? Still have my Timex 2068 and a Spectrum +2 (and another Z80-powered machine, a Phillips MSX2) gathering dust somewhere in my parent's attic. A few years ago I tried a couple of emulators but I'm afraid it's not the same thing. The date didn't get lost on many gaming sites/blogs, here's just a few: Guardian Unlimited, Tech Digest, and Digg.

Damn! That makes two of us feeling really old! I did really ride that wave then! Coded my first games/programs on it!

That being said, I recently just had my fair of ZX Spectrum memories stirred by the appearance of a ZX Spectrum game revival on XBox live...Jetpac anyone ?

And do I even need to say: what awesome and involving games *with 48K memory*!!!!

Same here. Made me a gamer and a programmer.

Happy birthday, ZX Spectrum!

Does this bring memory...all the extra hardware and latest versions including the "ultra-beefed-up" 128K!!! (almost typed 128M ;-) ).
